MEET OUR PASTOR

Rev. Charles E. Graddick

Rev. C. Edward Graddick is a native of Hamilton, GA. He is the son of the late Collie Graddick, Sr., and Ms. Emily Graddick.

He was educated in the Harris County School System. Upon completing high school, he attended The Fort Valley State College (now University), where he obtained a degree in Criminal Justice. He furthered his education by obtaining a Bachelor of Theology from Slidell Baptist Seminary and a Master’s of Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Kentucky.

He began his professional career with the Muscogee County Department of Family and Children Services. He retired as the Field Services Supervisor with Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency in Americus, GA, after 31 years.

In April 2002, while a member of Greater Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Marcus J. Gibson, Rev. Graddick heard the voice of Jesus and accepted his call into the ministry, with his initial sermon in September of that same year.

In July 2011, Rev. Graddick was called as the Interim Pastor of Rehobeth Baptist Church in Cataula, GA. In July 2012, he was installed as Pastor, still serving in that capacity today.

Rev. Graddick holds membership in many notable organizations: Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc; National Federation of High School Associations; Georgia High School Association; Columbus Football Association; Columbus Basketball Association; Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society International; Electric City Lodge #322 PHA; Fort Valley State University National Alumni Association, Columbus, GA Chapter; University of Kentucky National Alumni Association

Rev. Graddick enjoys fishing, spending time with family, and preaching. He also enjoys officiating football, which he has been doing for thirty-five years. He is currently the president of the Columbus Football Officials Association.

MEET OUR FIRST LADY

Evelyn Graddick

First Lady Evelyn Graddick is a native of Hawkinsvile, GA. She is the daughter of the late John Henry Holmes and Mrs. Margaret Holmes.

She was educated in the Pulaski County School System. Upon completing high school, she attended Albany State College (now University), where she obtained a degree in psychology. She furthered her education by obtaining a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Fort Valley State College (now University). She also received her Master’s in Elementary Education from Troy State University.

She began her professional career by working for the Muscogee County Department of Family and Children Services and Babies Can’t-Wait. She worked for Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation before finding her true passion for teaching. She taught for 12 years until she retired with 30 years of service for the state of Georgia.

First Lady Graddick has also had a passion for serving the Lord. She has served on the usher board, the choir, the youth ministry, the children’s church, and the mission ministry. Our First Lady loves her family and her church family. She has a passion for working with children and making sure that everyone is taken care of. She is always willing to go the extra mile, and we love her even more for that!
